I must confess I’m a die hard “computer internet surfer”. I spend hours online in my home office reading articles and looking for new content but these days I’ve noticed that my wife seems to be the total opposite. She prefers to sit in the garden or in the living room with her HTC desire smartphone in hand (pretending to listen to me) reading the Daily Mail on her phone. For her the speed of download onto the App and perfectly resized pages make using the App more convenient than using the internal web browser on the phone and certainly quicker than powering up her laptop for a quick news gossip update.
But the fact that really drove this point home for me is that prior to downloading the App she wasnt a Daily Mail reader! when I asked her about this. Her response was “I think I only check it because its there”…but given that usual newspaper fix has been kicked to touch I think it is fair to say that “the Times” are literally “a changing”.
